Today I want to elaborate on the things that I did here at PeakFAST to get myself in a place where I could run a half marathon.

Running may not be your thing and that’s fine. What is your thing? Are you doing everything you can to get there? Or if you are there, are you doing everything to stay there?

Join one of our challenges in 2018 to see what we do. That’s a great way to get started and build the foundation for what you need to do once the challenge is over.

That’s how I got really interested in the nutrition coaching piece. Ryan had a challenge that helped break down how you create a healthy meal that I practiced for six weeks. I found that my mindset shifted and that’s how I envisioned each meal going forward. And I still do that today!

Not yet ready for the gym? We also have an online coaching program that focuses on nutrition and overall wellness. Movement and activity is still an important component here as well, but not the top priority.

I’ve been participating in this program as a client this year. When you develop a mindset that this is your new lifestyle living as a fit, healthy person. There is always room to grow.

I found value in the lessons and was able to use what I learned to grow both in the area of health/wellness, but also in other areas because of the applicability of those lessons across any aspect of life.

My point today is that there are options for you when you are ready to find your inner athlete and to take that first step. We can work together to find the right game plan to get you started.

The plan will change. Life changes. Circumstances change. Families change. Jobs change. You change. Many things will cause the game plan to need revisions. If you know that going in, it makes things a lot less stressful when it happens.

I was having lunch and catching up with a friend I haven’t seen for awhile. We both have had significant changes in our lives since we first met. I made the statement that I want everyone to wake up and feel as good as I do every day.

She looked at me and said…’I want that!’.

It wasn’t a planned statement I was making to her, but a conversation about what’s going on with me. It is genuinely how I feel, and what I want to do.
